To come alongside First-Responders

Emergency Chaplain Group provides Chaplaincy services (emotional, spiritual & behavioral health support) to EMS, Fire, Paramedic and Police agencies on-scene and “behind scene” with an emphasis on Critical Incident/Traumatic Stress mitigation. These services are offered without regard to religious affiliation (or lack thereof).

Our Mission Statement is “To come alongside first-responders who experience extraordinary human events daily and to offer them emotional and spiritual support services.” Our slogan is In the most critical time of need they help you. Then, we help them.

We are a group of specially-trained Chaplains who respond to the needs of our first responder community. Founded in December of 1998, we became incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the State of Texas in 2000 and received our 501.c.3 non-profit status from the IRS in August of 2000. One very specific requirement to become an Emergency Ministries Chaplain is to have “Worn the Badge.” This means that each of our Chaplains has served as a first responder – as an EMT, Firefighter, Paramedic or Police Officer. It is vital to the success of our mission that the Heroes we engage know they are sitting across from someone who truly has “been there, has done that,” and knows where they have been and what they have seen.
